Privacy policy

This English translation is provided for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

§ 1 General information and controller

(1) This privacy policy informs you which personal data we process when you use our website, contact us or send us a booking request, for which purposes and on which legal basis (Art. 13 General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR). Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. name, address, e-mail address, telephone number or IP address.

(2) The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR for the processing of your personal data on this website is:

Campingplatz Irenensee KG
Fritz-Meinecke-Weg 2
31311 Uetze-Dahrenhorst
Germany

Phone: +49 5173 98120
Fax: +49 5173 98121-3
E-mail: info@irenensee.de
www.irenensee.de

(3) Further information about our company can be found in our legal notice.

§ 2 Hosting and server log files

(1) Our website is operated by an external service provider (hosting): Server4You GmbH, Hessen-Homburg-Platz 1, 63452 Hanau, Germany. The hosting provider processes the data solely on our behalf and according to our instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

(2) Each time you access our website, your browser automatically transmits information to our server, which is stored in so-called server log files:

– IP address of the requesting device
– date and time of access
– page or file requested (URL)
– website from which the request originates (referrer URL)
– browser and operating system used (user agent)
– access status (HTTP status code)
– amount of data transferred.

(3) This processing is technically necessary to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security, for example to fend off attacks and to analyse errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the purposes mentioned. The data is not combined with other data sources or analysed for marketing purposes.

(4) The server log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest. If longer storage is necessary to investigate a specific security incident, the data concerned is deleted as soon as the incident has been finally resolved.

§ 3 No cookies, no tracking

(1) Our website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. No user profiles are created.

(2) Fonts, icons, images and scripts are delivered exclusively from our own server, where images are also optimised for display. Therefore, no connections to third-party servers are established when you visit our pages. Content from Google Maps is only loaded if you explicitly request it (see § 8).

(3) Only for the online booking does the website use your browser’s session storage (see § 7).

§ 4 SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as your booking requests, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser. The data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

§ 5 Contact by e-mail or telephone

(1) If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, telephone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request.

(2) The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or serves to take steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. questions about a booking. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

(3) We delete the data as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion (see § 11).

§ 6 Booking request form

(1) You can send us a booking request using the form on our Book page. We process the following information:

– desired arrival and departure date
– type of accommodation (holiday home or camping)
– number of adults, children, babies and dogs
– first and last name
– street and house number, postcode and town
– e-mail address and telephone number
– whether you have an ACSI card (optional)
– your message to us.

(2) We use this information exclusively to process your request, check availability, make you an offer and get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). With the exception of the ACSI card information, we need this information to be able to process your request.

(3) Your information is transmitted to our server in encrypted form and forwarded from there to us by e-mail. It is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.

(4) If a booking is made, we process your data to perform the contract and retain it in accordance with the statutory retention obligations. Otherwise, we delete your request as soon as it has been dealt with conclusively.

§ 7 Online booking

(1) If you use our online booking, the information from the individual booking steps (e.g. travel period, selected accommodation, number of persons, your address and contact details, names of fellow travellers and your remarks) is stored in your browser’s session storage so that your entries are kept when you move between the steps. This data remains on your device and is deleted automatically as soon as you close the browser window or tab.

(2) This storage is strictly necessary for the booking function you have explicitly requested and therefore does not require consent (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG – German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). We process your booking data in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract and to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

§ 8 Google Maps

(1) To show you how to get to us, you can display a map from Google Maps on our pages. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

(2) The map is not loaded automatically. A connection to Google’s servers is only established when you click on “Load map”. Google then receives in particular your IP address, the address of the page you are visiting, the date and time of the request and information about your browser. Google may also use cookies or similar technologies on your device. If you are logged in to a Google account, Google can assign the request to your account. We have no influence on the nature and scope of this processing by Google.

(3) The legal basis is your consent, which you give by clicking on “Load map” (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Your choice is not stored: each time you open a page, the map is only loaded after you click again. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by reloading or leaving the page; you can delete cookies set by Google in your browser settings.

(4) Google also processes data in the USA. An adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR) applies to Google LLC, as it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

(5) The “Plan route” link takes you directly to Google Maps. This is a simple link: data is only transmitted to Google when you click on it; Google’s privacy policy then applies.

§ 9 Links to social networks and other websites

(1) We do not integrate any social media plug-ins. We refer to our profiles on Facebook and Instagram by simple links only. Only when you click on such a link are you taken to the provider’s page (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland), which then processes data about you under its own responsibility. No data is transmitted to this provider beforehand.

(2) Our pages also contain links to websites of other providers, e.g. to places of interest in the area. The respective provider is responsible for the data processing on these websites.

§ 10 Recipients and transfers to third countries

(1) Within our company, only those persons who need your data to process your request or booking have access to it.

(2) Other recipients of your data are:

– our hosting provider (see § 2) as processor; our e-mail mailbox, through which your e-mails and booking requests reach us, is also operated on its server
– Google, if you load the map (see § 8).

(3) Beyond this, we only pass on your data if this is necessary to perform a contract with you, if we are legally obliged to do so or if you have given your consent. Data is only transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area as described in § 8.

§ 11 Storage period

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose; details can be found in the sections above. Where statutory retention obligations exist, in particular under commercial and tax law (Section 257 HGB – German Commercial Code, Section 147 AO – German Fiscal Code, up to ten years), we restrict the processing of the data concerned and delete it once the retention periods have expired.

§ 12 Your rights

(1) You have the following rights against us with regard to the personal data concerning you:

– right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
– right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
– right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
– right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
– right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
– right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR, see § 13).

(2) If you have consented to processing, you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.

(3) To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details given in § 1 is sufficient, e.g. by e-mail to info@irenensee.de.

§ 13 Right to object

If we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

§ 14 Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Without prejudice to any other remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is:

Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen
(State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony)
Prinzenstraße 5
30159 Hannover, Germany
www.lfd.niedersachsen.de

§ 15 Automated decision-making and updates to this policy

(1) We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).

(2) We will adapt this privacy policy if our website or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
